About our school Zamorin's H S S

Our school is situated very near to the Tali Temple near the New Busstand of kozhikkode.It is one of the oldest schools in kerala.We offers a lot of fecilities to the students. We have English medium and Malayalam medium classes.To enhance learning process, a well equipped computer lab, smart class room , science lab and cd library are ready in the school.And also these areunder the supervision of efficient teachers who are dedicated to help the students in the process of learning,at any time.Zamorin's HSS is one of the eight Schools in Kozhikode City, in which Student Police Cadet (SPC) is alotted and is being performed its programmes well.

കോഴിക്കോട് നഗരത്തിന്‍റെ ഹൃദയഭാഗത്തായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു എയ്ഡഡ് വിദ്യാലയമാണ് സാമൂതിരി ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി സ്കൂള്‍. സാമൂതിരികോളേജ്സ്കൂള്‍ എന്ന പേരിലാണ് പൊതുവെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. 1877-ല്‍ അന്നത്തെ രാജാ പി.കെ മാനവിക്റമ രാജാ സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഈ വിദ്യാലയം കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്. 

 1877-ല്‍ അന്നത്തെ സാമൂതിരിരാജാ പി.കെ മാനവിക്റമ രാജാ ബഹദൂര്‍ കേരള വിദ്യാശാല എന്ന പേരില്‍ കുടുംബത്തിലെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നല്‍കുന്നതിനു വേ‌ണ്‌ടിയാണ്‌ ഈ വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. 1900-ല്‍ കേരള വിദ്യാശാല എന്നതു സാമൊരിന്‍സ് കോളേജ് ഹൈ സ്കൂള്‍ എന്നു പുനര്‍ നാമകരണം ചെയ്തു.സിറില്‍.എം.ബാരോയായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ പ്രധാന അദ്ധ്യാപകന്‍. 1955-ല്‍ കോളേജ് വിഭാഗം പൊക്കുന്നിലേക്കു മാറ്റുകയും യു.പി,ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ വിഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ തളിയില്‍ തുടരുകയും ചെയ്തു. 1998-ല്‍ വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി വിഭാഗം പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു.
